DroidRemote Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 21, 2026
Last Updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LiuZheng, the developer of DroidRemote (“DroidRemote,” the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use DroidRemote and any related companion software or services.

DroidRemote is designed as a user-directed remote access and device-management tool. We do not need a DroidRemote account to provide the App’s basic functionality. LiuZheng does not collect, retain, sell, or distribute your remote-device content, screen content, files, commands, credentials, or session content on developer-operated servers. That content is designed to remain on your devices or, if you enable synchronization, in your own iCloud storage. Information may still be transmitted between your devices or to services operated by Apple, app marketplaces, or other providers as described below.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to DroidRemote. It does not govern the Android device, operating system, app, website, API, relay, network provider, app marketplace, or other third-party service that you access through DroidRemote. Those services process information under their own policies.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the features you use, DroidRemote may store on your device or in your iCloud app-data storage:

Sensitive credentials should be stored using the platform’s secure storage facilities where supported. Other preferences, configuration, and session data may be stored in the App’s local container and, if you enable iCloud synchronization or device backup, may be copied to your iCloud storage under your Apple Account. LiuZheng does not receive or control information stored in your device or iCloud merely because you use DroidRemote.

You can remove saved devices, credentials, sessions, and other available data through the App. To delete copies in iCloud, you may also need to manage the App’s iCloud data, iCloud Drive, or device backups through Apple’s settings. For the most complete deletion, remove sensitive configurations before uninstalling DroidRemote and review the operating system’s backup or keychain behavior.

3. Connections to Android Devices and Other Endpoints

When you connect to a device or endpoint, DroidRemote may transmit information necessary to authenticate and provide the feature you request, including connection metadata, credentials or authentication proofs, screen-capture data, touch or keyboard input, files, commands, device information, logs, and server responses.

The destination device or service operator—including you, your organization, or another person—determines how that information is logged, retained, and used. DroidRemote does not upload or retain this content on a developer-operated relay or cloud server. Information may pass between your own devices as necessary to provide remote-control features. iCloud synchronization and backup, when enabled by you or by your device settings, are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms.

You are responsible for selecting trusted destinations, obtaining authorization, and configuring secure transport and least-privilege access. If you choose an unencrypted protocol, an unverified endpoint, or an otherwise insecure configuration, information may be exposed in transit.

4. Android Permissions and Sensitive Content

DroidRemote may request permissions or capabilities such as Accessibility access, screen capture, notification access, USB debugging or ADB authorization, local-network access, file access, or device-management access. These permissions may allow the App or companion software to view or interact with sensitive device content.

We use these permissions only to provide the feature you activate, subject to the controls and limitations of the operating system. Content visible during a remote session may include messages, photos, files, contacts, credentials, financial information, health information, or other personal data. You should end sessions and revoke permissions when they are no longer needed.

5. Information We May Receive Directly

If you contact us, we may receive your email address, message, attachments, and information you choose to include so that we can respond, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with law. Do not send passwords, private keys, access tokens, or unnecessary screen captures or logs.

If DroidRemote offers purchases, the relevant app marketplace may provide purchase status, product entitlement, transaction identifiers, region, and related information needed to provide or restore a purchase. We do not receive your full payment card number or bank credentials. The marketplace handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

The current version does not require a developer-operated account, sell personal information, or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not retain or distribute user content. If a future version adds analytics, advertising, accounts, or other collection, this Policy will be updated before or when that feature is introduced, as required by law.

6. Apple, App Marketplaces, and Third-Party Services

DroidRemote may rely on Android system services, iCloud, app marketplaces, device manufacturers, network providers, update services, or other third-party services. Apple may process information associated with iCloud synchronization or backup, and an app marketplace may process purchase and download information. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

LiuZheng does not send your remote-device content, screen content, files, commands, credentials, or session content to developer-operated advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, relay, or storage services. We do not control a third party’s security, retention, international transfers, availability, or data practices. Opening an external link or using a third-party endpoint causes your device to connect to that destination.

To the extent we process personal information, we may process it to:

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, your consent or instructions, our legitimate interests in operating and securing DroidRemote, and compliance with law, as appropriate. You may withdraw consent for optional features by stopping their use or revoking the relevant permission.

8. Retention and Deletion

Local configuration, credentials, and session data remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or the operating system removes them. Information sent to a remote device or third-party service must be deleted through that destination and remains subject to its retention policy.

Support correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, prevent abuse, and comply with law. If we receive personal information through a service we operate, we retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information and features we control. No storage, transmission, or software security method is completely secure.

You are responsible for securing your device, remote devices, accounts, credentials, backups, network, permissions, and companion software. Use screen locks, current updates, least-privilege access, secure transport, and independent backups. DroidRemote cannot protect information after it reaches a destination or provider selected by you.

10. Children’s Privacy

DroidRemote is a general-purpose technical utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a DroidRemote account or developer-operated backend. A minor should use DroidRemote only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian and where permitted by applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

11. International Transfers and Your Responsibilities

When you connect to a device, relay, provider, website, or other endpoint in another country or region, your device may send information to that destination. The destination’s safeguards and privacy policy apply.

If you use DroidRemote to access or process information belonging to another person or organization, you are responsible for having the necessary authority, lawful basis, notices, consents, access controls, retention rules, and incident procedures. DroidRemote is a user-directed technical tool and does not determine the purposes for which you process that information.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator.

Most DroidRemote information is stored only on your device or sent directly to a destination you select, so we may not possess or be able to identify it. Use the App’s controls or contact the relevant device or service operator for that information. For information provided directly to us, contact us below. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to DroidRemote, our practices, or legal requirements. We will publish the updated Policy and revise the date above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
