This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application BitManager (“Application”, “App”), developed and operated by LiuTimo (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Our core operating philosophy is built on absolute privacy and user sovereignty: BitManager is a local utility client. We do not own, operate, or lease any central cloud servers. Consequently, we do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal information, server credentials, or data files on any remote servers controlled by us.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading and using BitManager, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described herein.
1. User-Owned Server Connections (NAS, PC, or Private Servers)
BitManager allows you to connect directly to your own private infrastructure, such as Network Attached Storage (NAS), personal computers, or private servers. Regarding these connections:
- Direct Local/Remote Connections: All connections established through the App are direct communication channels between your mobile device and your own self-hosted server. No data ever passes through, routes through, or is cached on any server belonging to LiuTimo.
- Local Credential Storage: Any server addresses, usernames, passwords, or SSH/API keys you input into the App are encrypted and stored 100% locally on your device. They are never transmitted to us or any third party.
- Your Data, Your Responsibility: Since you connect to your own servers, you are entirely responsible for the security, encryption (such as using HTTPS/SFTP), and privacy of your own data and server infrastructure.
2. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
To provide premium features, BitManager integrates the official native billing systems provided by Apple and Google. These transaction services are executed completely outside of our control:
A. Apple App Store In-App Purchases (iOS Users)
All transactions, subscriptions, and renewals are handled directly by Apple. Apple processes your payment details and account status according to its own standards.
B. Google Play Billing (Android Users)
All transactions, subscriptions, and renewals are handled directly by Google. Google processes your payment details and account status according to its own standards.
C. Financial Security Compliance
We never see, receive, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. These financial details are securely processed directly by Apple or Google in compliance with the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).
3. Children’s Privacy Compliance (COPPA & GDPR-K)
BitManager is designed to be fully safe and accessible for users of all age groups, including children under the age of 13 (USA) or 16 (European Union).
- Absolute Protection: Because our App features a client-only architecture with zero developer-side data collection, we do not, and cannot, knowingly solicit, collect, or process any personal information from children.
- Parental Rights: If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided any billing data through Google or Apple, please manage this directly through the respective platform’s parental controls or contact us at liutimo@foxmail.com.
4. GDPR Compliance (European Union Users)
If you reside within the European Economic Area (EEA), you are protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Data Protection Rights: As no personal data is ever collected, stored, or processed by LiuTimo, your “Right to Access”, “Right to Rectification”, and “Right to be Forgotten” (Erasure) are fundamentally respected and preserved.
- Data Controller Status: For the data stored on your personal NAS or server, you are the “Data Controller” and “Data Processor.” BitManager acts solely as a technical tool/client to access your data.
- Subscription Data: Any transaction logs or subscription statuses are securely managed by Apple or Google. To exercise your data rights regarding these payments, you must contact Apple or Google Support directly.
5. CalOPPA Compliance (California Privacy Rights)
In compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and California privacy standards, we explicitly declare:
- Do Not Track (DNT) Signals: Our App does not track users over time and across third-party websites or online services. Therefore, BitManager does not respond to DNT signals.
- No Commercial Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share any user metrics, credentials, or behavioral data with third-party advertisers or marketing firms.
6. Subscription Management and Cancellation
All premium subscriptions are managed at the operating system level:
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time by accessing your Apple ID Account Settings or Google Play Subscription Settings directly on your device.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect potential changes in app features. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
